Allotment March On

A convincing win away at Guisborough saw Allotment progress to the next round of the FA Cup and an away game against Blyth Spartans on the 6th of September. On a bright sunny afternoon in hot conditions the team put a very good performance together and the result was never raelly under threat . Allotments midfield three of Flannaghan , Hulme and Hartgrove ran the show . Goals from Elise Bell (2) , Gabby McConnell (2) and Abbie Hulme sealed the win but in truth it could have been more . Although in the second half Allotment had to make changes the young players McDonald and Webb looked a threat down each wing . Leah Hall was bought on to tighen things up in the midfield and nearly scored with a dipping shot. A change of keeper saw Jess Bucas deal with the little she had to do well.
Player of the match was Elise Bell who played in two different positions but as a winger caused all sorts of problems with her pace and scored two very good goals .
