This weekend Allotment travel to Blyth Spartan Ladies in the first qualifying round of the Fa Cup. Spartans have put together a very strong squad and are probably favorites to progress in the cup and win the Northumberland Football leagues Premier division . The resources at their disposal are far greater than anyone else in the league and its great to see the backing of the parent club. A convincing win away at Guisborough saw Allotment progress to the next round of the FA Cup and an away game against Blyth Spartans on the 6th of September. On a bright sunny afternoon in hot conditions the team put a very good performance together and the result was never raelly under threat . As the new season looms preseason is well under way with the ladies already having faced higher league opposition with small squads due to holidays . Tonight see us take on local ladies team Cullercoats at St Thomas More but again with only 13 available. Friday night sees a social night out with bowling and Pool with a prize for the winner of both . On Sunday we travel to Gusiborough for the Womens FA Cup premlinary round with a trip to Blyth in the next round for the winner
