Busy week for Ladies

As the new season looms preseason is well under way with the ladies already having faced higher league opposition with small squads due to holidays . Tonight see us take on local ladies team Cullercoats at St Thomas More but again with only 13 available. Friday night sees a social night out with bowling and Pool with a prize for the winner of both . On Sunday we travel to Gusiborough for the Womens FA Cup premlinary round with a trip to Blyth in the next round for the winners. We have faced Guisborough before when we were both in the NERWL and in the FA cup. Allotment won last time out in the cup so we are hoping for the same result. David Dyke and David Dodds the coaches of the Ladies team are happy with the squad which has been strenghtened since last seasons third placed finish in the Northumberland County League. Talented young player Rosie Bell has joined from junior football along with Sophie Douthwaite. Experienced center half Abby Cooke has also been recruited and the development of young players like Hollie Webb , Leah Hall and Mia McDonald goes on .

We also have the benefit of two keepers with Lucy Newton joining our existing keeper Jess Bucas.

A major new sponsor will also be announced soon to add to the help from our existing sponsors Permatt Fork Lift Trucks and 1st class supply .
